CUT CANVAS SCULPTURES
In the cut canvas artworks, KX2 combines repurposed and salvaged industrial materials with paint on canvas to create works that move between the structural and the fluid, the built and the natural. Strips of painted canvas are suspended, woven, and gathered — cascading from fabricated metal elements, pooling at the floor, or bound together into forms that suggest connection and interdependence. Whether falling or joined, the material enacts what the work proposes: that water moves through systems, links them, and holds them in relation to each other.
